“The challenge of space gardening: One giant ‘leaf’ for mankind” –
This is a project which NASA is conducting in conjunction with high schoolers to produce more natural foods for those engaged in activity in space as in the ISS, where freeze dried foods become unpalatable due to their sameness in texture.
And, here are our very own plants ? grown inside our city? apartment, to protect ourselves from the toxic fumes that are emmitted by vehicular traffic, surrounding where we live‼
These plants are all named by NASA as air purifying plants.
Areca Palm or Dypsis lutescens
Dracenea warnakae, white stripes dracaena or dracaena warneckii
Dumb cane or Dieffenbachia
Banana or musa acuminata
Peace✌ lily or spathyphyllum
Snake? plant or mother-in-law’s tongue? ? or sansevieria trifasciata
Aloe vera or barbadensis
Spider? plant or cholorophytum comosum
